Common Questions

FAQS

How thick should a concrete driveway be?

For residential driveways, we pour at 4 inches minimum — 5 inches for heavier vehicles. We always include a compacted gravel base and reinforcement to handle Ohio's freeze-thaw cycles without cracking.

How long does concrete take to cure?

Concrete reaches initial set in 24–48 hours. We recommend keeping vehicles off for at least 7 days and avoiding heavy loads for 28 days, which is when concrete reaches full design strength.

Do you offer decorative concrete finishes?

Yes. We offer broom finish (standard), exposed aggregate, and stamped concrete for patios and walkways. Stamped concrete can mimic the look of stone, brick, or slate at a fraction of the cost.

Can you replace just part of a driveway?

Partial replacements are possible, though color matching with existing concrete is difficult. We'll assess your situation and give you an honest recommendation — sometimes a full replacement is more cost-effective long-term.
