Common Questions

FAQS

How deep should mulch be applied?

We recommend 2–3 inches for garden beds. Too thin and weeds push through; too deep and it can suffocate plant roots and retain excess moisture. We apply the right depth for your specific plants and conditions.

What type of mulch is best for Ohio?

Hardwood bark mulch is the most popular choice in Northeast Ohio — it breaks down slowly, suppresses weeds well, and looks great. Dyed mulches hold color longer. We'll help you choose based on your beds, plants, and maintenance preferences.

Can you install gravel for a driveway?

Yes. We install crushed limestone, #57 stone, and other gravel types for driveways, parking pads, and utility areas. We handle grading, base preparation, and material installation.

Do you remove old mulch before installing new?

We offer old mulch removal as an add-on service. In many cases, if the existing layer is thin, we can install directly on top. We'll assess and recommend the best approach during your free estimate.
