What's the best time of year to install sod in Ohio?
Spring and fall are ideal for sod installation in Northeast Ohio. Cooler temperatures and more consistent rainfall help new sod establish roots quickly. Summer installs are possible but require more frequent watering.
How long before I can walk on new sod?
We recommend staying off new sod for at least 2 weeks to allow roots to establish. After that, light foot traffic is fine. Full use typically resumes after 4–6 weeks.
Do you handle the removal of old grass?
Yes — old lawn removal and disposal is included in our site preparation process. We strip the old turf, till the soil, and grade before laying new sod.
